Cayden is as of Monday (2/23) a whopping three weeks old. He is doing well and at his two week appointment weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces. Essentially he is eating well. The slogan thrown around the house is that he is a bit of a pig, which at this stage is a good thing. Some of his new adventures besides sleeping and eating are bath time. I have included a few pictures of that event. Since these pictures he has had two more baths and the third he seemed to actually enjoy it. He only cried at the end during the period of being taken from the tub to the towel.

One Week Old!!!
Cayden is officially a week old and has mastered a few skills. Sleeping and disposing of what he eats. Due to the later skill I have gained a new skill as well that is sure to keep Huggies and Pampers in business for at least a few more years.
Kari is doing well adjusting to the lack of sleep, by sleeping when Cayden does. He has been nothing but pure entertainment this past week.

Cayden Meets His Extended Family
Here are a few pictures of Cayden meeting his extended family (related and not related). I think his Auntie Wendi was surprised that her brother could produce a child so damn cute. His cousin MacKenzie was very excited to meet him, but his other cousin Bella was a bit ho-hum with him at this point.
Laurie was very happy while meeting Cayden (Travis... I see a wee one in your near future). She came in rubbing her hands together in anticipation. Very amusing. The Skippers stopped by as well to take a peek and Geoff was nice enough to bring me some refreshments.
I did find out that Cayden likes to be bounced on the exercise ball (Thanks Fraser for that tip) and actually falls asleep. Thanks again for all the support from family and friends. Particularly the grandparents (both sides) for all the coffees and grocery shopping. It is very much appreciated.

Cayden has arrived!!!
Cayden was born at 5:29 pm on February 2nd, 2009... Groundhog Day! Both Cayden and Kari are doing well. Kari had the easiest pregnancy I have ever heard of and compared to some past labor stories, had one of the easiest deliveries I have ever heard of as well.
Here are some photos of the little muppet!
Cayden is coming Early!!!!
Kari had an appointment this morning and was told to simply walk over to the delivery area. Being stubborn, she said I have to go home to get my bag. Of course she called me and this is all that was said (in a crying voice...) "you have to come home now". Eric freaked and drove about 80 down 185th... all was well and now we are here waiting for the bundle of pooping, crying, burping, smiling joy. Will post pictures when he arrives.
